Borrowing materials

Camosun College has libraries at the Lansdowne and Interurban campuses. With the exception of course reserves, materials can be borrowed from and returned to both libraries. Present your Camosun ID or Community Borrower card to borrow materials, place holds and renew items.

Course reserves

Each library has a print and electronic collection for course reserves. Course reserves are materials specific to a course that have a short loan period with no renewals.

Computers & technology in the library

Interlibrary loan

The library will borrow books (except course textbooks) and journal articles not available in Camosun library's print or online collection. This service is provided to support research and study undertaken at Camosun. There is a limit of 10 ILL requests per student each semester.

  • available to registered students, faculty and staff
  • loan periods, limits and fines are determined by the lending library
  • articles take 2-3 days to be available (on average)
  • books take 5-7 days to be available (on average)

Camosun instructors can book DVDs & VHS in advance to use in the classroom. Fill out an online form or email your request:
