Camosun ID

Camosun students, faculty and staff are issued a college identification card with a photograph. This is your official student or employee identification card as well as your library card, BC Transit UPass (registered students), and lab entry key (Interurban). Cards are issued by library staff during library open hours. All questions regarding ID cards can be directed to library staff.

Camosun ID FAQ

How long is my identification card valid for?
You must keep your card for at least two years. A sticker will be applied to the back for each academic year you are registered. Visit the library after August 31 each year you attend to have your card's sticker updated.

What if I lose my card?
First, check if your card has been turned-in to the Camosun Library or BC Transit. A $15 fee is charged for replacement cards; the replacement card can be issued at either campus library.

How do I use my UPass?
You are required to have your U-Pass with you when you ride buses within the Capital Regional District. Swipe the card on the fare-box reader as you enter the bus. If the card is not working, you will be required to pay the fare; take the defective card to the library.

How long is the UPass valid for?
A UPass must be validated each term. Library staff can validate your card at the start of each term (starting 1 week before your first class); the UPass is then valid until the last day of the month your classes or exams end. UPasses that are active in December, expire January 12th.

What other card conditions should I be aware of?
