Both Camosun campuses have computers available for student use in the Library Learning Commons. The Lansdowne campus also has student computers in the General Purpose labs.
General Purpose (GP) labs
General Purpose lab hours
General Purpose labs are located at the Lansdowne campus in the Ewing Building (E 100, E 110, E 112, E 115 and E 200) and in the Library Learning Commons.
If you need computing help, GP lab Instructional Technologists are available during opening hours in the Ewing Building (E 100A and E 113) and at the Technology counter in the Library Learning Commons.
All General Purpose lab computers run Windows 7 with the following standard software:
- Web browsing
- Internet Explorer
- Office 2016 • Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access
Course-specific software is installed for Astronomy, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computing, Environmental Studies, Math/Statistics, Nursing Physics and Psychology students. Other course-related software is available; please speak with the Instructional Technologists for more information. Due to software licensing restrictions not all software is installed on all computers.
Library Learning Commons
Both campus libraries have Learning Commons computers for general student use. Available software and hours vary by campus. Please drop by the library at either campus for more information.

School of Business (CBA) labs
If you’re enrolled in a program with the School of Business you may have access to computers in the CBA labs.
