I was born and raised in Alberta on Treaty 6 Land, home to the Plains Cree, Nakota, Denesųłıné and Saulteaux Peoples. I first moved here to attend the University of Victoria in 1997 and fell in love with the island. I feel a deep sense of peace and connection to the land and sea here, and am honored to continue to live, work, and play on the traditional unceded territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.

I hold a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle and have worked with Camosun's Counselling Department since 2019.

I believe that people are resilient and carry with them an innate capacity to know themselves, to gain new insights or perspectives, to heal, and to create change. I see the counselling process as a collaboration between client and counsellor, and I respect and value each individual’s lived experience, goals and strengths. My counselling approach is trauma-informed and my work is rooted in anti-oppressive practice, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based approaches. It is my privilege to walk alongside you as a compassionate listener, a curious observer, a gentle explorer, a mirror or reflection, and a genuine encourager.

In my down time you can find me cooking, reading, connecting with friends, walking or riding my bike, doing yoga, or taking a cold dip in the ocean.
