Activity Instructor: Karate
Tyler Lane practices and teaches Shotokan Karate and Ju Jitsu.
He began his martial arts journey in 1981, when he started studying Shotokan Karate in Winnipeg, Canada. Over the years, Tyler's passion for martial arts led him to train in various cities across Canada, including Calgary, Victoria, and Nanaimo. During this time, he competed in numerous tournaments, both provincially and nationally, and even at the international level.
As a skilled and accomplished martial artist, Tyler has shared his knowledge and expertise with hundreds of students throughout his career. He has taught at many clubs and dojos across Canada, inspiring and mentoring students of all ages and skill levels.
Tyler's dedication and commitment to martial arts have earned him the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, a testament to his hard work and skill. In addition, his training in Judo and Ju Jitsu has given him a well-rounded approach to martial arts and a deep understanding of self-defence.
