Awards
Although the words bursaries, awards , and scholarships, may often be used interchangeably, Camosun defines each in a particular way.
At annual awards ceremonies, the Schools of Access and Aboriginal Education and Community Connections, Arts and Science, Business, Centre for Sport & Exercise Education, Health and Human Services, and, Trades and Technology give out non-repayable awards and scholarships to students for outstanding achievement such as highest grade point average. Others may be based on additional criteria such as volunteer service, affiliation with a particular organization or other requirements. Applications are required for some and not others.
