General
When is it possible to book space at Camosun College?
- Most venues are available year round, however, classrooms and laboratories are busiest during daytime hours throughout the standard school year (September 1 to April 30)

Do you have a non-profit or discounted rate?
- We do not. We have chosen to make our rates consistently low and affordable for all.
Audio/Visual
What Audio Visual Equipment is available during my rental?
- Each venue is different. The included pieces are listed on the page for each venue. A full list of rental equipment is available at (insert AV link). Prices are available by calling the AV department
Can I bring my own AV equipment?
- Absolutely. Please discuss this with the AV departments

Can I have access to the internet?
- Absolutely. This will need to be arranged at least 3 business days in advance with Susan Pang at 250–370–3543 or roombook@camosun.bc.ca
Food
Can I bring food and drinks into my event venue?
- Food is permitted in most venues, however, all food must be sourced through Campus Food Services. 250–370–3650 or burgerd@camosun.bc.ca
Can I arrange a catered event for my function.

Parking
How much does it cost top park on Campus?
- Parking meters are in effect 7 days a week. Current parking rates...
Can I pay for parking passes in advance for the attendees?
- Yes, email cam-motion@camosun.bc.ca
Liability insurance
Do I need liability insurance to rent space at Camosun College?
- Yes. Two options:
1. you can either provide proof of third party liability of one million dollars with Camosun College added to the coverage
2. you may purchase temporary coverage from us
Why do I need liability insurance?
- Liability insurance is required to protect:
- The Event Organizer
- The Attendees
- Camosun College
From any actions stemming from the activities occuring on or within Camosun property during a specified period and/or event.
What does it cost?
- Liability insurance through Camosun College is as low as $12 / event

What merchandise can I sell at Camosun College when I rent a table?
Please refer to our Commercial Activity policy for a complete list of acceptable commercial activities at Camosun College.
How will I know whether my event would be a good fit at Camosun College?
To ensure your event will be successful at Camosun College, please refer to our Use of College Facilities and Grounds policy.
Camosun student vendor
I’m a Camosun student, do I get a break on table rental fees?
As a current Camosun student, you will be charged 10% of your total sales during the rental period up to the current table rental rate. Please call us for table rental rate. The average student vendor pays around $10 per table rental.
Please make the following change on the Event request form.
For Client type Camosun employee, please add External Phone as a required field after Local. Please add two new client types: Camosun student and Student Society. Camosun student should have the same form as Public with one addition: please add Student # field after Name. This should be a required field. The Student Society client type should have the same form as Camosun employee.
