"After some career search and job hunt missteps, I decided to see a career coach at Camosun, a valuable and free service provided for current and past students of the college. Irene Wallace in Student and Alumni Employment Services was a great help. I see those meetings with Irene as a turning point in my search for a new and interesting career direction."
Nathan, alumnus working in the financial sector
Draw Winner Varunjot Singh
Varunjot Singh is our May 2019 Career Services ballot winner. Varunjot is an Arts & Science student planning to take the Interactive Media Developer Certificate or Diploma Program starting in September. He sought out our Career Services to support him in his job search and booked a one-on-one coaching appointment with one of our Employment Facilitators, Tricia Habermehl. About his experience, Varunjot says, “I have never had a job… so I am unaware of the hustle that goes into finding a job. Tricia was very helpful with helping me out.” His career goal is to become a video game designer and he has a keen interest in working within the industry long term.
