"After some career search and job hunt missteps, I decided to see a career coach at Camosun, a valuable and free service provided for current and past students of the college. Irene Wallace in Student and Alumni Employment Services was a great help. I see those meetings with Irene as a turning point in my search for a new and interesting career direction."

Draw Winner Michael Skrenek

July 2017

Draw Winner

Michael Skrenek is currently a student in Camosun’s Welding Foundations Level C Program. He was a student in Irene Wallace's Workshop on how to write a trades resume and cover letter that my instructor in Welding Foundations arranged for his class. Michael said, "I found the service to be very helpful, inspiring, and informative on how to correctly write both a resume and a cover letter for the welding trade". His career goal after finishing school is to find a welding apprenticeship so he can acquire more experience and knowledge about the welding trade. When he has enough hours and experience, Michael plans to return to school for his Level B welding certification.
