"After some career search and job hunt missteps, I decided to see a career coach at Camosun, a valuable and free service provided for current and past students of the college. Irene Wallace in Student and Alumni Employment Services was a great help. I see those meetings with Irene as a turning point in my search for a new and interesting career direction."

February 2017

Draw Winner

Sabina Sharma is enrolled in the Certified Dental Assistant Program. Not unlike many students, Sabina was unsure of what career path she was wishing to follow after finishing high school. She first-off took some Psychology classes and then a year in the Criminology Program. She is now very happy to have found the career of her interest in Dental. Sabina engaged in a Classroom Workshop arranged by her instructor Melody Weimer on how to develop her targeted cover letter and resume. She said, "The workshop was very helpful because Irene (Employment Facilitator) showed the importance of building a professional resume and cover letter. She made it very clear on how to develop and organize both". After completing the Dental Assistant program in June 2017, her goal is to work in the dentistry field and to educate individuals on oral health.
