Camosun College

Co–op Education

The Co–operative Education and Student Employment department offers services to all Camosun students, alumni, and staff and to employers in our community. Co–operative Education allows students to integrate periods of hands–on program related work experience with their academic studies providing many benefits to both student and employer. Dependent on the program, this work experience may be mandatory or optional, paid or unpaid, and the length of the work term may vary. Prior to the work term, students learn through Workplace Education Preparation how to network, apply for jobs, interview and complete a successful work term.

Student Employment provides services to all Camosun students, alumni and staff. These services include access to job postings, informative workshops and individual consultation with an employment facilitator. Student Employment also offers many employer services which include advertising job opportunities, hosting an on campus information session/table, collecting resumes and facilitating on–campus interviews. Student Employment hosts career fairs throughout the year and welcomes employer participation.
