Campus Recruitment Practices & Guidelines

Camosun College follows the ethical recruitment guidelines established by the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE). In addition to these, good recruitment practices at Camosun College respect the college’s primary function as an educational facility. For this reasons, campus information sessions are organized through Cooperative Education & Student Employment. Activities such as approaching faculty for classroom announcements, distributing leaflets, surveys or similar materials or other unauthorized attempts to access students are not permitted.

The Co-operative Education and Student Employment office of Camosun College strives to provide a centralized location to share information about employment and recruitment activities with students, staff and faculty, and to ensure employer and organizational access for recruitment and career purposes is handled in a consistent manner.

Applicants for any jobs identified through job postings with Student Employment, information sessions or other career events on campus are responsible for ascertaining and verifying the terms and conditions of employment.
