Anyone wanting to take Adult Basic Education upgrading courses begins by taking a Mathematics Placement Test.
Anyone wanting the following programs or courses and not having the published pre-requisites takes the Mathematics Placement Test:
- Any Camosun College course or program that has a mathematics requirement.
- Camosun College engineering technology and access programs that require a mathematics assessment.
What is included in the Mathematics Placement Test and how long does the test take?
Content ranges from basic arithmetic to higher level algebra, trigonometry and calculus depending on student's math background. The test is untimed. Calculators are not allowed.
Total time for the test (including directions): 1 - 3 hours
