Applied Communication Test
Who takes the Applied Communication Test?
Anyone wanting to apply to the Applied Communication Program must write the Applied Communication Test. Applicants with a minimum grade of B in a university level English course will be exempted from the competency test.
What is included in the Applied Communication Test and how long does the test take?
The test is made up of three timed sections of multiple-choice questions:
- Vocabulary - 16 minutes
- Reading comprehension - 34 minutes
- Grammar - 24 minutes
There is 1 hour given to write an essay.
Total time for the test (including directions): 2 1/2 - 3 hours
