We help prospective, new and current students to understand and develop the skills necessary for navigating and making decisions within the Post-Secondary system.
For prospective students: we can assist with reading and understanding program information, course descriptions, prereqs and course progression. We can also provide an opportunity to discuss post secondary ‘culture’ and terminology. (Please plan to make time to visit Enrolment Services if you have questions regarding admissions & registration, program waitlists and using Camlink)
For new applicants: Once you have applied and your previous education (High School and/or Post Secondary transcripts) has been assessed by Enrolment Services, we can assist you with the skills to develop your own plan to meet your educational goals whether that is to enter a specific Camosun program or to transfer onto another school’s degree program.
For current students: We can assist you with all of the above, plus help you chose appropriate elective or required courses for your current and future programs. We can assist with determining which courses are needed to complete your credential. We can help you with understanding how to use the BC Transfer Guide for Camosun program requirements or for research toward future transfer to University.
We also maintain information for students planning to transfer to a specific program at the University of Victoria. Course selection and planning
The Academic Advising links provide you with the information you need as a Camosun Student.
