Camosun College’s campuses are OPEN, Wednesday, Feb. 5

Wednesday, Feb. 5, 6:30 a.m. — Camosun’s campuses are OPEN today. Classes and services are scheduled to run as planned.

Grounds crew have been working at Lansdowne and Interurban to spread salt and sand on parking lots, roadways and main walkways as conditions are icy. Please allow extra time when commuting, dress warmly and stay on cleared paths.

Award description

To provide a financial award to assist a woman in taking, or continuing, Indigenous course work at Camosun College. This award is made possible by a unique partnership between the Canadian Federation of University Women - Victoria and the United Way of Greater Victoria and generously supported by the Horner Foundation.

Criteria

Criteria

You must:

  • be a female
  • be currently registered as a student at Camosun College
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have a GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
  • complete the application form

Selection process

You can apply for more than one award using the Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen (IECC) awards application form.

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.

Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants who work at, or volunteer with, a non-profit organization that undertakes to improve the lives of Indigenous people. Financial need will be strongly taken into consideration.
