Dr. Sahitya Yadav Kandur received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India in 2017, and Post Doctoral research from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden in 2018. She completed her M.Tech. (Masters of Technology) and B.Tech. (Bachelors of Technology) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India.

Her research interests span both Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Much of her work has been in High Voltage Engineering specialized in condition monitoring of power apparatus. Her area of research is to understand the impact of thermal aging of dielectric properties of transformer insulation. She also conducted research in classification and location of various partial discharge activities occurring in insulation materials, understanding aging and failure mechanisms of transformer insulation exposed to AC and transient voltages. In addition, she contributed several publications (IEEE, ISH) based on her research. Sahitya has presented various paper in numerous national and international conferences. In the year 2013, during her Master program, she has been awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding academic and research.

Sahitya holds very strong interest in electrical and electronics, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching & research experience effectively to prompt a positive atmosphere and to endorse student growth.
