Michael has a passion for education and enjoys interacting with his students.
After receiving his PhD in Computer Science in 1999, he taught a wide variety of courses at several different post-secondary institutions in Canada and Japan. Michael also held an adjunct assistant professor appointment at the University of Victoria, where he co-authored multiple papers and patents. Over the years, he has furthermore worked for a number of different software companies.
His computer work focuses on computer security issues, mobile software development, networks, and system administration.
