I completed my Red Seal in automotive in February, 1994 from Camosun College. Two days after my completion, I started my own automotive business in downtown Victoria at the age of 22, which was an amazing opportunity and journey.
Downtown Auto was located on the corner of Government Street and Chatham for 17 years. In the later years of my business career I felt I needed something more and at that time I started filling in as an instructor at Camosun. Trying to juggle operating a business and teaching was quite difficult so I continued forward with my business venture. One of the most difficult decisions in my life was deciding to close the doors of Downtown Auto in August of 2010 and pursue other ventures which eventually lead back to Camosun College to start as an instructor.
Present day, I am a full time instructor teaching new technology to upcoming Red Seal technicians along with teaching other courses like Diesel Marine, Commercial Vehicle Inspector and Automotive Service Advisor. Our life is an amazing journey, embrace it.
