I started my nursing career in Toronto after receiving a diploma in nursing with honors from Seneca Polytechnic in 2012 and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from Trent University in 2017. My clinical background spans acute medicine, surgery, and emergency care. I fulfilled travel nursing contracts across various emergency departments in British Columbia and made Victoria, BC my place of residence in 2021. Currently, I work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
In Spring 2023, I commenced as a sessional instructor at Camosun College, where I have since taught lab and clinical courses. I completed the Certified Canadian Nurse Educator Program through the Canadian Nurse Educator Institute and am currently enrolled in the Master of Nursing program with a focus on nurse education at the University of Victoria. My teaching philosophy is grounded in a constructivist approach, where students play an active role in their learning journey. As an educator, I strive to foster a supportive and empowering learning environment.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, spending time at the beach, and traveling. I find joy in immersing myself in different cultures, food, languages, and history.
