I have been teaching in the baccalaureate nursing program at Camosun College since 2012, across all terms, in various lab, theory and practicum courses. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from BCIT in 2009. In 2011, I completed a Master of Nursing, with a teaching focus, through Athabasca University. Currently, I’m working on completing the Nurse Educator Certification Program, through the Canadian Nurse Educator Institute, as well as the Rural Nursing Certificate through UNBC.
As nurse educator, I appreciate the opportunity to inspire students to strive for excellence nursing care by developing a solid knowledge base, exceptional clinical judgement and technical expertise, while establishing caring relationships. I believe in the importance of lifting each other up, while holding ourselves to the highest standard possible. When I’m not teaching, I’m at home enjoying the garden, and tending to all my animals.
