Dustin joined Camosun College in 2019 to develop and teach the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. He instructs students in general ultrasound procedures, sonography physics, gynecological imaging and obstetrical imaging. Dustin brings with him over 20 years of diverse healthcare experience, having previously worked for Island Health as a volunteer, radiographer, sonographer, Leader of Ultrasound & Breast Imaging and Medical Imaging Manager of Quality & Operations. Dustin also has experience performing veterinary ultrasound and assisting veterinarians with developing scanning protocols and equipment set-up.
He holds Diplomas with honours from BCIT in Medical Radiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography and he has always enjoyed teaching his fellow classmates and students the ropes of x-ray and ultrasound imaging. Growing up in Courtenay, Dustin has lived in Victoria since 1999 and currently calls Langford home. When he is not teaching at Camosun College, he spends his spare time camping, hiking and spending time with his two young daughters.
