Early Learning and Care
School of Health and Human Services
With 28 years of experience in early childhood education, Danielle has worked in various capacities, consistently grounding their practice in a pedagogy of listening and care. In 2010, as part of the ECEBC Leadership Initiative, they co-created the Images of Learning project, a traveling exhibit showcasing the competencies of young children and the dedicated, thoughtful work of early childhood educators. This exhibit toured the province, inspiring communities and educators alike.
For many years, Danielle supported school districts and early childhood centers in integrating pedagogical narration into their practices, fostering reflective and meaningful approaches to early learning and care. In 2021, they earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Royal Roads University. Their research and practice focus on collective care, decolonizing early childhood spaces, and designing intentional environments where children, educators, and families can thrive.
Throughout their career they have been actively involved in ECEBC, as a member and a past board member. From 2019 to 2021 Danielle Chaired the position paper committee, supporting ECEBC in advocating for early childhood educators.
As a parent of three children, Danielle draws daily inspiration from the remarkable capabilities, thoughtfulness, and care that children embody. Outside the classroom, they can often be found hiking in the forest with their family.
