I’ve taught for over 15 years. My role as an educator is exciting because I help shape future nurses to be the best nurses they can be by balancing patient centred, compassionate, competent, and knowledgeable care. Building relationships with my students brings meaning to my work. I strongly believe and support students to care holistically for themselves; enabling them to thrive throughout their nursing education and career. Completing my Instructor Diploma developed my love for teaching and my desire to build students’ capacity to become self-directed learners.
I am happiest when I am in nature with my two children and husband, either camping, hiking, swimming, biking, or paddling. I also love running, travelling, yoga, meditating, reading, and cuddling my twin cats. My newest professional endeavour is completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
