Kristine is a third generation lover of words. Her mother taught English and drama before becoming a librarian and curriculum coordinator, and her grandmother was also a teacher and librarian. Kristine has a Bachelors degree in English (with a double minor in psychology and classics) from the University of Alberta and a Masters degree in English from the University of Victoria.
She began substitute teaching in the Camosun College English Department while she was still in graduate school, and she started teaching her own classes in 1995. Since then, Kristine has taught access courses (both composition and literature), first-year courses (both composition and literature), second-year composition, second-year literature (including women's literature and ancient Greek tragedy), a technical writing course and a creative writing course (first-year poetry).
Sharing the power of words with students is a joy and a privilege for Kristine. It must be the genes.
