I am a philosophy PhD Candidate at the University of British Columbia. My areas of specialization are philosophy of mind, philosophy of cognitive science, and phenomenology (i.e. the philosophical study of the structure of conscious experience). My research at the Master’s and Doctoral levels has been funded by SSHRC (the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada).

I have been teaching philosophy at Camosun since fall 2020. I really enjoy the smaller class sizes offered at the college. I think they make possible a learning environment in which philosophy can be explored as part of a community of practice, in stark contrast to the somewhat alienating large lecture halls in which students tend to have their first encounters with philosophy at other institutions of higher learning.
