Emah has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1999, and an instructor since 2006. She has a BHSc with Thompson Rivers University. Emah has supervised student clinical outreach at locations such as: BC Women’s Hospital in the antepartum care unit and FIR unit, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre for spinal cord injuries, and the George Pearson Centre for residents with complex medical and physical conditions.
In 2013, Emah had the opportunity to develop a massage therapy program in Winnipeg, MB., where her students were recognized with a national research award.
She has served as Research Chair for the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba board.
Emah has an interest in anatomy, myofascial therapy, evidence-informed practice and chronic pain. She is a yoga teacher, a doula and the mother of a delightful tiny person.
Emah is thrilled to be a part of the community at Camosun College as a curriculum developer, program chair and instructor in the massage therapy program.
