What is Giving Tuesday?

Each year on GivingTuesday, non-profit, civic organizations, businesses, corporations, families and individuals rally their supporters for a day of maximum impact. Following the retail events of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday provides an opportunity to unite communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

Last year, through the Erasing Barriers fund, we were able to help over 500 hundred students! The money raised made it possible for us to help students stay housed, fed, and in school. The Fund is open to any student at Camosun facing difficult situations. It is designed to help students succeed in their studies when they are facing financial or other hardships that impact their ability to continue their education.

This year The Camosun College Student Society is matching donations up to $15,000! That means every dollar you give has double the impact, helping twice as many students.
