This year you will be required to sign up for a time to get your flu shot and wear a mask. If possible, we are asking that you please book a time for a day you are already going to be on campus. We have had to go through the College’s Safe Start program, to be able to offer the flu shots to you this year and as a result there are several new processes to ensure everyone’s safety. Unfortunately if you have not booked an appointment and show up for the shot, we will not be able to just fit you in. To book your appointment please visit the site below:

Camosun Flu Shots for HHS Students in CHW-105 (Interurban)

Due to Covid-19 we have been asked to please have all students print the attached form out, and bring with you. This form is required by the government, but the colleges wish is to avoid having people fill them out the day of their appointments. There will be a limited number of forms available on site for those who may not be on campus at all or otherwise not have access to a printer

If you are a BC resident with a BC Medical Care Card, you will receive the vaccine for free.  Please be sure to bring your BC Care Card or BC Services Card with you when you go to the flu shot clinic and to record that information clearly on the form you fill out.  If you are not a BC resident with a BC Care Card you can get the flu shot as well, but please bring your out of province health card with you. The pharmacist will give you a document certifying that you received the flu shot for the current flu season.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me Christine Desrochers at ccssplan@camosun.bc.ca

When you arrive the day of your flu shot please be sure to have your mask on, your completed flu form that is attached to this email and please remember to practice social distancing. The college has asked all students to enter via the outside door on the first floor near the clinical space. Please look for signs. We will have staff and members of the Student Society there to help you get to where you need to be.

If you require any assistance at all please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a lovely day.

Yours Truly,
Christine Desrochers
