CSEE Hosts Rotterdam Sport Management Students
Last week the Centre for Sport & Exercise Education’s Sport Management program hosted 25 students and 3 faculty from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences – Sport Management program. This was the 5th year of this study-tour from Rotterdam and included the students participating in an Introduction to Marketing (MARK 110) lecture led by instructor Anne Borrowman. The class discussed product marketing that involved many globally recognized products from a variety of companies including Roots Canada. This was a highly interactive and interesting class for both our students and our international guests, where students were mixed together to share their ideas and perspectives.
Unfortunately, the friendly international football (soccer) match, scheduled for Friday afternoon, had to be cancelled due to the snowstorm that descended on campus. As part of the Rotterdam visit, CSEE provided a welcome tour for our guests to learn more about our programs. On Saturday evening, the Rotterdam guests finished their visit by attending our Camosun Chargers women’s and men’s volleyball matches against College of the Rockies (COTR). They were very vocal in their support of our Chargers teams’ victories over COTR. Thank you to all who were involved for making this another successful visit!
