BAET & MRAD Students Working Together
On Tuesday, October 17, the AET Clinic took a group of students from the Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy Program (BAET) to act as case study models for students in the Medical Radiography Program (MRAD). While the MRAD students performed their scenario, the BAET students acted as both their models and “secret shoppers”, providing patient feedback and ergonomic assessments to the movements observed. Once all MRAD students had a chance to go through their lab, we then moved into a classroom where the BAET students walked the group through preventative exercises for their profession.
It was a great experience for all! Students from both departments had the opportunity to practice on models, giving them more exposure to real world scenarios. Thanks to instructor Sarah Erdelyi for coming up with the idea and reaching out; the AET Clinic looks forward to linking up with both MRAD and other programs in the future!
