The health and wellbeing of students and staff remains the priority of Camosun College.
Camosun continues to monitor reports of coronavirus infections and has a team prepared to respond as necessary. If you have any questions, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At this time, Camosun has no cases presumed or confirmed.
Public health officials at Island Health are working closely with provincial and federal agencies to monitor the coronavirus. The latest information is available at the BC Centre for Disease Control website. We are in close contact with officials at Island Health and will work with our partners to respond to this serious infectious disease and inform our community.
Regular handwashing, coughing or sneezing into your elbow sleeve, disposing of tissues appropriately and avoiding close contact with anyone who shows signs of a fever or cough are important ways to prevent the spread of respiratory illness generally.
Anyone who is concerned they may have been exposed to, or are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus should phone their primary-care provider, local public health office or call 8-1-1 for free health information and advice.
We all play a role in dispelling rumours that may lead to discrimination against people. Only people who are experiencing symptoms may transmit an illness, it is not related to race or ethnicity.
