The Farmers also co-chaired the Camosun Foundation’s TRADEmark fundraising campaign which successfully raised over $7.5 million to support trades education at the college, and continue to support students each year.

“On behalf of Camosun College we are thrilled to congratulate Lynda and Murray Farmer on receiving this prestigious honour,” says Camosun College President Sherri Bell. “It is a testament to their deep roots in community and in their strong belief and interest in supporting and creating exceptional educational opportunities for local students.”

“It has been a true privilege over the years to have the opportunity to be involved with Camosun College,” says Lynda Farmer. “I have continually been inspired by the commitment and dedication the faculty and staff apply to their roles in aiding student learning. In particular, I admire the commitment to students in encouraging each of them to embrace learning as they strive to reach their full potential. By supporting extraordinary learning opportunities, Camosun helps transform students’ lives which ultimately help our communities and economy prosper. I know my own life has been enriched by my association with Camosun and I say ‘thank you, Camosun College.’”
