New board member appointed to Camosun College

The Board of Governors at Camosun College is welcoming a new appointment. Tanya Clarmont is appointed as a new board member effective July 31, 2019 for a term ending July 31, 2020.
Tanya works at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre as the Director of Management Services, which aligns well with a commitment to lifelong mentorship for Indigenous peoples. She has also held positions at the provincial and national level of the Friendship Centre Movement.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Tanya to the board and the experience that she brings to the role,” says Sherri Bell, President of Camosun College. “All of our board members play an important role in contributing to the success of our students. Camosun is constantly looking to further its world-class reputation as a leader in applied, responsive and relevant education and training.”

Camosun College is the largest public college in British Columbia, established in 1971, with campuses located on the traditional territories of the Lkwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.
The Board of Governors administers the college on behalf of the B.C. Government and the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training as legislated by the College and Institute Act.
