Camosun College announces the appointment of Dr. Richard Gale as the new Director of Camosun Innovates, the applied research arm of the college.

Dr. Gale comes to Camosun Innovates after most recently serving as the Vice President, Academic at Capilano University and the founding Director of Mount Royal University’s Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Prior to that he was a researcher and faculty member at Douglas College and a Senior Scholar at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching at Stanford. Dr. Gale holds a PhD in Theatre Arts with his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies.

“I am truly excited to bring this connection with teaching and learning to the dynamic exciting skill-set that is already part of Camosun Innovates,” says John Boraas, Camosun’s Vice President of Education. “Richard joins us, excited and ready, to take part in finding ways to support increasing connections with all parts of the college’s educational programming. He also joins the college knowing that Camosun Innovates is one of Western Canada’s premier applied research colleges with a remarkable and impressive team with whom he will be able to work.”
