Diwali is the festival of lights, one of the most important celebrations in India. Camosun is pleased to invite you to celebrate this major event on Thursday, October 19 from 4-10pm at Na'tsa'maht (Indigenous Gathering Place). Everybody is welcome to this free event.
During the five days of Diwali, families celebrate with gatherings, festive fireworks, bonfires, sharing of sweets, music and dances. Experience this exciting feeling, discover more about Diwali and Indian culture, and celebrate with good company.
Please join us in celebrating a promise of good fortune in the spirit of Diwali. This is a cultural celebration for everyone. Feel free to wear traditional outfits from your own culture.
