The Province of BC today proclaimed March 7 as BC Colleges Day in celebration of the many educational and societal contributions public colleges make to their communities.

The announcement was made today by Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson with an official presentation of the proclamation to BC Colleges Chair Lane Trotter. Camosun College second-year Indigenous Studies student Marissa Jim also spoke on behalf of college students and what her college education has meant to her.

Camosun College second-year Indigenous Studies student Marissa Jim spoke today at the BC Legislature on what her program at Camosun has meant to her. Marissa graduates this year, transferring on to university studies in Anthropology.
