Camosun DECA competitors posted a chapter best performance at the 2015 International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida. On April 21, all seven competitors advanced to the final round of competition in their individual events, something that has not been done in the chapter's seven year history.

DECA is an international college-level club of business students. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

The 2015 conference set a record for number of attendees at nearly 1500, representing chapters from Canada, China, Puerto Rico and the US. Participants competed in 27 different business event categories. Events are classified as case study, business simulation, or prepared business presentation and then are tied to one of the following areas of study: Business Management & Administration, Marketing & Sales, Finance & Accounting, Hospitality & Tourism, and Communications & Technology.  In addition to the competitive events, the conference included cash prize challenges, a variety of leadership training and career development seminars.
