Camosun’s Dean of Arts and Science Stan Chung offers a public reading of his latest work, Global Citizen: River of Love and Other Stories, Tuesday, November 22, 4pm, Fisher 100, Lansdowne campus. Everyone welcome. Stan Chung poster

Chung’s book is a debut collection of essays and stories. Part essay, part memoir the book centres on the life and background of the author’s journey from Seoul to Canada.

Author Wayson Choy, novelist Francie Greenslade, poet Jake Kennedy, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and CBC Radio have acclaimed the book’s honesty and forceful writing.

This is the first reading in a series intended to showcase Camosun College writers. Chung will be introduced by English department faculty members Laurie Elmquist and Jim Sexton. Joan Yates, Executive Director of Communications and Advancement, hosts the event.

A book signing of Global Citizen will follow outside Fisher 100 from 5-6pm. Books are available for purchase in the Camosun Bookstore.
