Women’s Basketball

Chargers vs. Malaspina Mariners in Nanaimo
Camosun 81, Malaspina 50

"We played well the first half and we ran away from them early with a 31-point first quarter. We were not very good defensively in the second half, but we still managed to win 81-50. Everybody saw significant playing time and we had five girls in double-figure scoring. Mal did not have their two best players, but we were without three girls (Julia fisher, Ashley Mackay and Rachel Griffin) who play significant playing time for us." Head Coach, Brett Westcott

Men’s Basketball

Douglas College Tournament in New Westminster

  • Chargers 79, SAIT 69
Leading CAM scorers: Jeff Krawetz 22, Marek Downarowicz 15
  • Langara 78, Camosun 70
Leading CAM scorers: Marek Downarowicz 16, Jeff Krawetz 15
  • Mt. Royal 85, Camosun 61
Leading CAM scorers: Marek Downarowicz 18, Jeff Krawetz 12

"I’m pleased with the overall results. We only had eight healthy bodies for the game against Langara (Jeff Spoor and Kamal Vaid both sat out; Isaac Neubert, Spencer Fyfe-Wilson and Davidson St. Paul haven't played yet). We did well on Sunday, considering Mt. Royal is ranked #1 nationally (additionally, Spoor didn't play the 2nd half)."Head Coach, Gord Thatcher

Women’s Volleyball

Chargers vs. Malaspina Mariners
MAL won 4-0 (25-18; 25-22; 25-15; 25-11)

"A very good first showing! We were close up until 15 points and then they took it away -- but that is to be expected with our first match/game situation. Still very happy with the results as we blocked very well and played awesome defense. Little things to work out but no biggies!"
Head Coach, Alison Hitesman
