Did you sing into the hairbrush as kid? Played in band or sang in the choir? Dreamed of performing on stage? Studied music all through school? In partnership with the Victoria Conservatory of Music, Camosun offers programs and courses that will deepen your musical skills and knowledge, preparing you for further post-secondary studies or a career in music.
What can you do with a music credential?
A college music credential can get you started in a variety of music-related careers, including performance, teaching, composing and musicology.
You can also combine programs and electives to gain transfer credit so you can continue your education at the third-year level in programs like the Bachelor of Music Therapy at Capilano University, or UVic's BSc in Computers and Music, opening doors to careers in music therapy and the film and gaming industry.
Music on campus
The Victoria Conservatory of Music brings its students to Camosun's campuses to perform. These free concerts are great practice for the students, and a lovely break for Camosun students and staff. Concerts are generally scheduled from September to March each year.
