These 3-credit courses are open to all Camosun students and transfer to other BC institutions. Check the BC Transfer Guide.

HLTH 110 Health and Wellness in Contemporary Society

Explore health promotion, wellness and ways to make healthy lifestyle changes. This course is transferable to ten different post-secondary institutions in BC.

HLTH 111 Indigenous Peoples' Health

Learn about the current realities in Indigenous health and the impact of family, community and colonization. You will explore traditional health and healing practices and discover future possibilities for healthy Indigenous communities.

HLTH 112 Holistic Health and Healing

Health as wholeness through traditional healing systems will be the focus of this course. This is the perfect course if you're looking for an elective or if you're a professional who would like to supplement your practice.

HLTH 113 Creativity and Health

Learn about the different health modalities and how they may influence one's wellbeing. Connect with the physical, emotional, social and health and creativity of your therapeutic skills. This 3-credit course transfers to UVic.

ELC 110 Perspectives on Child Growth and Development 1

This course introduces concepts of Early Childhood Education and current perspectives on the influences of culture, society and family on a child's life.

Note: Online section offered each January if sufficient seats are filled (no prerequisites required; no need to be registered in ELC program).

ELC 150 Health and Wellness for Early Learning & Care

Examine the Health, Safety & Nutrition needs of children through the development of curriculum and policies.

Practical Nursing

PNUR 101 - Anatomy & Physiology

If you're interested in entering the field of Practical Nursing you will need to take this course as an admission requirement for the program.

Sport and Exercise

SPEX 110 - Fitness for Life

This course places emphasis on personal health in relation to nutrition, stress and prevention of activity injuries.
