South Island Partnership

Become a Dual Credit Student

Plan ahead so that you can take advantage of Dual Credit opportunities while you're still in high school.

Follow these steps to become a South Island Partnership (SIP) Dual Credit student

  1. Check out the Program Guide PDF and Dual Credit Transition Pathways PDF
  2. Talk to your parents and your high school counsellor about your career ideas
  3. Work with your high school counsellor
    • To make sure you meet the prerequisites
    • To fill out the necessary application paperwork
  4. Submit the completed forms to your school counsellor or apply online and pay the application fee

A great time to start asking questions is while you're in Grade 10 or 11, so you can be ready to take advantage of these Dual Credit opportunities when you're in Grade 12. It might even be possible to get started while you're in Grade 10 or 11, so talk to your high school counsellor! Reserved SIP seats fill up quickly, and admission into programs usually includes an orientation or interview process, so don't leave this to the last minute.
