Get ahead with trades training
Whether you're new to the trades, or are looking to upgrade your skills and move forward in your career, Camosun has a number of opportunities to help support women in the skilled trades.
Skilled trades people are in demand—which means jobs and opportunities for women with trades training, skills and certification.
Interested in the trades, but don’t know where to start?
Chosen a trade and already have the program pre-requisites?
Pursuing a Red Seal trade or looking to upgrade your skills?
Work towards your Red Seal
If you are already working in a Red Seal trade program, or have completed a Foundation program, you can continue your training at Camosun.
If you're working as an apprentice and registered with the Industry Training Authority (ITA), you'll come to Camosun for six to 10 weeks each year for your required technical training.
If you're a woman pursuing a Red Seal Trades program at Camosun College, you may be eligible for support to assist with your educational costs, on-site costs and living costs through the Camosun Empowering Women in Trades initiative.
