Growing up on the west coast, Rick’s love of the sea started at an early age. After high school, he started his marine career working internationally on deep-sea ships. In 1976, Rick Worrall graduated from the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Rick has over 25 years of experience at sea on Coast Guard and commercial ships. He has sailed on all 3 coasts and internationally. Rick is a graduate of the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program. He started teaching the Marine Emergency Duties courses for Camosun in 2000. Rick also teaches a wide variety of courses as an Instructor for Camosun College’s Nautical Department.
When not at Camosun College, Rick participates in many First Nation’s events and ceremonies. He is an avid outdoors person and enjoys travelling the roads less travelled.
