Ramtin Rakhsha Instructor, Mechanical Engineering
Ramtin specializes in robotics and networked haptic systems. During his PhD research, he designed, analysed and implemented a distributed haptic cooperation system robust to varying number of cooperating peers. Haptic cooperation applications include surgical training systems rehabilitation, video games with haptic feedback.
His main interests include, cooperative control designs, multi-agent systems, passivity-based control, tele-operations, human-robot interaction, UAV systems, and AUV's.
In addition, Ramtin has been involved with industrial projects including industrial automation (utilizing CANopen protocols), test-rig design (servo-test rig and vibration test-bed), as well as underwater biomimetic robotic systems.
Ramtin enjoys teaching Robotics, Control, Dynamics, Vibrations, Mechanism and Machine Design. In his spare time, he enjoys playing piano, swimming, playing futsal and foosball.
