Ken Holland Instructor, Electrical Trades
When Ken started in the trade he spent his four-year apprenticeship in residential and commercial construction. Once a journeyman he spent the next two years working with an “Industrial Surface Mining” electrical crew servicing heavy equipment and maintaining/building high voltage lines & substations. The years to follow were spent working on electrical construction until he started his own company within that construction environment. Ken then left the construction field to begin teaching apprentices at NAIT (Edmonton) and Keyano College (Fort McMurray). After leaving Alberta, Ken had assumed an electrical instructor faculty position at Camosun College, and for many years has thoroughly enjoyed this time here as an instructor. Holding certification such as the TQ, IP, Accredited Rep and A Contractor, he has been particularly fond of teaching AC theory, fire alarm systems and Code.
