Doug Crowther

Doug served his apprenticeship at DND Ship Repair Unit in Esquimalt. After working as a Marine Journeyman Electrician, Doug moved east to work in GM’s plant in Oshawa, Ontario. There he advanced to work extensively with Programmable Logic Controllers and related Automation Controls. He then became involved in teaching these concepts in PLC’s and Industrial Electronics to Electrical employees within this plant. With these skills, Doug was successful in his bid to become an Electrical Instructor here at Camosun College in 1991. Doug has continued to specialize in these areas as well as teach all facets of ELT and Apprenticeship training within the Camosun College “Electrical” training programs.
