Zofia Rogowski Anishinaabe (Rama), Indigenous Research & Special Projects Assistant
Hello! My name is Zofia and I am Anishinaabe from Rama Nation. I have been a visitor on Lkwungen Territories my entire life. My grandparents moved their children westward in the 1960s to avoid losing them to the Residential School system. They eventually made their new home on Vancouver Island, where most of us remain to this day.
I joined the IECC staff in 2012 as a receptionist. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for the department. I consider working with students to be an incredible privilege. Every day I am inspired by the courage and brilliance of the people we serve. Camosun is a home to me. It is my hope that I can help make it a home for you, too. Come say hi!
