Tony Nelson

My name is Tony Nelson and I am Coast Salish from the Esquimalt Nation located here in Victoria, BC. I have a BA in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from Simon Fraser University. I am also currently working my way towards a post-graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution—Specialization in Mediation/Third Party Intervention from the Justice Institute of BC. I have worked in Admissions for a number of years and before that, I worked for the Chemainus First Nation.

I love seeing the ever increasing amount of applications from Indigenous students and I also love helping those students on their post-secondary school journey. Having started my post-secondary education here at Camosun College, I feel that I have come full circle. The learning that I receive from each student I come into contact with is invaluable and it makes me feel that I have one of the best jobs in the world!

Thank you for considering Camosun College. I look forward to the possibility of working with you on your successful journey!

Hi'chka Siem,
Tony
