Niltze, I am mestiza of Nahua and Ñuù savi descent born in Mexico City Tenochtitlán and raised in Treaty 1 Anishnaabe, Cree and Métis homelands, Winnipeg MB. I’ve been fortunate to live in Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ territories for nearly a decade. I hold an MA in Politics from the University of Manitoba and am a recent PhD graduate in Political Science at the University of Victoria. My academic work is located at the intersections of political theory scholarship, methodological ethics and storytelling principles and practice. I’m currently a sessional instructor in Indigenous Studies here at Camosun College and also in Political Science at the University of Victoria. In my other role here I am Coordinator of the 2020 S’TEṈISTOLW̱ Indigenous Education Conference hosted by Eyēʔ Sqȃ’lewen.
