Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

Voice, time, and knowledge

The members of the Aboriginal Service Plan (ASP) Community Advisory Committee provide guidance and direction to the ASP Coordinator for the programming, services, and supports conducted through the Aboriginal Service Plan.

The Aboriginal Service Plan (ASP) Advisory Committee reports to the Camosun College Indigenous Advisory Council and onto the College President regarding Indigenous programming, partnership, and services at Camosun, and links with local communities. The ASP Community Advisory Committee was established in 2012 as a way of supporting respectful consultation and engagement, strengthening relationships and maintaining accountability, and ensuring that the goals of the ASP are upheld.

The Advisory meets twice a year and includes representation from the following Nations and organizations:

  • Tsawout First Nation
  • Tseycum First Nation
  • Scia’new First Nation
  • T’Sou-ke First Nation

  • Victoria Native Friendship Centre
  • Aboriginal Nations Education, School District 61- Victoria
